It has been said that New South Wales is the 'gold standard' when it comes to the management of COVID-19, with our home state so far being successful in avoiding a second-wave of COVID-19 cases.

And in this new "normal", New South Wales may well be resigned to accepting clusters or hotspots of COVID-19 cases, with such areas and suburbs publicly encouraged to have increased testing. As of writing this article, there are 2 Sydney suburbs and 10 local government areas that have been listed as such. 

In some of these areas, concern in the community had been substantive enough where the local early childhood education and care service(s) experienced a significant enough decrease in attendances of children.
