Meeting the new Federal Minister for Early Childhood Education

ACA NSW had the pleasure of meeting the new Federal Minister for Early Childhood Education (the Hon Dr Anne Aly MP) today.

During what can be described as a meeting of the hearts and minds, the following were discussed (in no particular order):

• the severe and exacerbated labour shortages
• the Preschool Reform Funding Agreement and NSW's Start Strong funding
• the outcomes for children aged 0-5 years old and when they are in kindergarten to Year 3
• the use of the Commonwealth's attendance data collected every week
• the process and use of Inclusion Support funding
• the then Opposition Leader's promise of national consistency

Today's first meeting was of great potential for ACA NSW members and the early childhood education and care sector.

ACA NSW President (Lyn Connolly) and CEO (Chiang Lim) looks forward to further discussions and our ensuing collaborations with Minister Aly and the new Federal Government that can ultimately benefit all children.
