New Information Sheet for Families About COVID-19

In light of some confusion that can occur among parents/guardians with respect to COVID-19, ACA NSW has published an information sheet (dated 26 April 2022) for families that answers the following questions:

  1. When must a child/staff isolate?
  2. When can a child return to the ECEC service?
  3. Can children be refused entry to the ECEC service?
  4. Can the gap fee be waived?
  5. When can the gap fee not be waived?
  6. How will Allowable Absences be used?
  7. Which Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) can be used for children
  8. Where can parents/guardians find Rapid Antigen Tests?

ACA NSW will update this information sheet as and when, for example, the NSW Government updates their NSW Public Health Orders, and Federal Government updates their support information.

Members can submit parents/guardians' questions that need answers to. Please submit those questions to nsw@childcarealliance.org.au.

Members can refer to ACA NSW's "Is your service COVIDready?" for all legal and regulatory obligations, references, tools and frequently asked questions and answers that are relevant to ECEC services.

For any further information/clarification, please contact the ACA NSW team via 1300 556 330 or nsw@childcarealliance.org.au.
