At the recent Australian Childcare Alliance NSW 2017 Retreat Weekend in Sydney (10-12 November 2017), the issues we face in the early childhood education sector were openly discussed, from oversupply and red tape to shortages and rising fees. Journalist and media commentator, Georgina Dent, facilitated our parliamentary panelists, NSW Shadow Minister Kate Washington MP (ALP) and NSW Member for Newtown, Jenny Leong MP (Greens), and for her the conference was a stark reminder of the need for wholesale change.
