For the last two years, the Australian Childcare Alliance (ACA) NSW has been aware of the arguably false information contained on the Federal Government's MyChild website, namely when then almost 900 childcare services have not been re-assessed and re-rated for 2-6 years.

success mychild date last assessment rating

The problem being that when the MyChild website does not tell prospective parents when the service was last re-assessed and re-rated, and it tells prospective parents that they are on a lower rating like "Working Toward" when they are operating as a "Meeting" or "Exceeding" level of service, such incorrect ratings harms such services and their viabilities to continue operating especially if they are in an area with an oversupply of childcare services.

The office of the Federal Minister for Education, Senator the Hon SImon Birmingham, has confirmed to ACA NSW on 12 August 2018, that the new MyChild replacement website will now feature when the service is last assessed and rated.

ACA NSW thanks Minister Birmingham's office and appreciates this correction.
