Katrina joined the Australian Childcare Alliance (ACA) New South Wales in January 2019. She is ACA NSW’s Communications, Change, Catalyst Coordinator but she is so much more than meets the eye!
In her past life, Katrina was a lawyer for almost 15 years, involved in commercial litigation, debt recovery, corporate insurances, property conveyancing, wills, probate and personal injury matters. Along the way, she got married, brought up two beautiful daughters who are now teenagers and is now back with a huge bang!
Katrina is one of the main conduits within the ACA NSW team, pulling everyone (even including its elected Executive Committee (ie board)) towards the agreed path forward. She is also a saint particularly in assisting the team with freedom of information (FOI) and government information (public access) (GIPA) applications, on-line broadcasts, surveys, research and report generations.
Despite unfairly being dubbed as the “mum” of the team, Katrina brings her no-nonsense approach and can-do attitude yet concurrently sharing much joy and sunlight wherever possible, ensuring that the entire team is continually on a natural high especially for the benefit of our members and stakeholders.
