As part of the legislation, the Child Care Subsidy's (CCS) hourly rate cap is to be increased by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) at the commencement of each financial year (ie 1 July onwards).

At the time of writing this article, the hourly rate caps for the upcoming 2019/2020 financial year has not been announced by the Federal Government but is due to be imminently.

The Australian Childcare Alliance (ACA) NSW has contacted the Federal Department of Education as well as the Child Care Subsidy System's Helpdesk where both have confirmed that they have not yet released the CCS hourly rate cap for 2019/2020 yet but will do so in June 2019.
