As the voice for more than 1100 approved early childhood education and care services across NSW, ACA NSW is heavily involved in policy, lobbying and advocacy at all levels of government.

Our Executive Committee provides a collective voice for our members and acts on their behalf, supported by our team of professional staff.

ACA NSW is involved with policy, lobbying and advocacy at all levels of government, both directly, and via our national body, the Australian Childcare Alliance. We provide regular updates on our advocacy activities via our Weekly Update member emails.

In the last twelve months alone, members would have heard about meetings our President and Chief Executive Officer had with the NSW Premier, NSW Deputy Premier, NSW Treasurer, NSW Education Minister, NSW Small Business Commissioner, NSW Department of Education and Communities; NSW Early Childhood Education and Care Directorate; Federal Assistant Minister for Education... and more!

ACA Executive Committee members and staff represent members on a number of reference groups, advisory councils, committees and working groups, ensuring members' views are communicated and advocated. In addition, our Chief Executive Officer, Brianna Casey, is a member of the Federal Ministerial Advisory Council for Child Care and Early Childhood Learning, which provides an ideal opportunity to discuss strategic policy matters affecting services right across the country.

With multiple reviews of the early childhood education and care sector taking place at once, ACA NSW has been engaging in the inquiry process, lodging submissions and providing evidence at public hearings for each of these inquiries and reviews.
