What is International Men's Day?

International men’s day is a global awareness day for the issues that men face such as abuse, homelessness, suicide, and violence. The day itself raises awareness about the health and wellbeing of these men and the positive value that they bring to the world. 

When is International Men's Day?

Activities: 

• Male Role Model Visits: Invite male role models from the community, such as fathers, grandfathers, uncles, or local professionals, to visit the childcare center and share their experiences and expertise with the children
• Story Time: Read books with male characters or strong male role models for story time.
• Open Discussion: Hold an open discussion with the children about what it means to be a boy or a man and the different roles and responsibilities they may have in their families and communities
  
• Art and Craft: Encourage children to create a thank-you card to a male role model in their life.
