2024 Wheels On The Bus Tour

In 2024, ACA NSW will conduct (2) Wheels On The Bus Tours on:

  • Saturday, 29 June 2024
  • Saturday, 19 October 2024 

For the next ACA NSW's Wheels On The Bus Tour (on Saturday, 29 June 2024), you will explore three (3) early childhood education and care (ECEC) services that are rated Exceeding as well as Exceeding in Quality Area 1.

This is your opportunity to ask questions of the Approved Provider and their staff and learn from:

  • Venue 1 to be confirmed
  • Venue 2 to be confirmed
  • Venue 3  to be confirmed

You will draw educational inspiration and operational insights from these Exceeding rating services!

During the tour, you will be exposed to:

  • the services' experiences during their Assessment & Ratings process

  • the services' realities and challenges faced (eg labour shortages, regulatory impacts, local oversupply/undersupply, parental demands, educational trends

  • discussion(s) about their educational program and practice

  • their architectural and design merits and their rationale

  • the external support available, including third-party suppliers

  • broader discussions about the Federal and State Governments’ direction(s) for early childhood education and care (eg the Review of the NQF and various governments’ funding)

 

Alignments will be on the National Quality Framework, especially:

  • Quality Area 1 - Education Program and Practice
  • Quality Area 6 - Collaborative Partnerships with Families and Communities
  • Quality Area 7 - Governance and Leadership.

ACA NSW Members:  $150 per person incl GST

Non- Members: $200 per person incl GST

 

Wheels On The Bus Tour's Code of Conduct:

 

By invitation of the above three Exceeding rated services, as well as for your safety, a condition of participation will be agreement to a Code of Conduct.

 

The famous lunch & drinks:

 

All tour participants will enjoy lunch at a fabulous venue as part of the tour. Drinks will be available from the bar. 

Please note that menu selection per participant will be made during registration and ticket purchase.

And the venue will enforce their Responsible Services of Alcohol requirements. 

Each Wheels On The Bus tour will:

  • Begin registration at 8.30 am
  • Leave the ACA NSW office (Parramatta) by 9.00 am sharp
  • Visit 3x Exceeding rated ECEC services
  • Return to the ACA NSW office by 4.30 pm
  • Refreshments and lunch will be provided
 
Car parking at the ACA NSW office (19 Fennell Street, Parramatta):
 

Free off-street car parking at the ACA NSW office's car park is on a first-come-first-served basis (including tandem parking).

On-street car parking (see map) may be subject to the local council's car parking meters.

 
What to bring with you:

 

  • A curious mind
  • A respect for others, especially the services you are visiting and their children
  • A camera
  • A notepad
  • A form of identification (eg driver's licence)

 

COVIDsafe Plan, Cancellation & Refund Policy:

 

Every ACA NSW Wheels On The Bus Tour has prepared and will operate a COVIDsafe Plan.

If Government COVID restrictions are invoked requiring a reduced capacity, ACA NSW will wherever possible, continue with the event offering places in order of purchase, and if still viable.

All registrations not taken up will be offered a full refund or transferred to the next Wheels On The Bus tour.

Participant(s)' requested refunds can only be accepted before 2 weeks prior to the event. Refund will be less Eventbrite fees.

Certificate of Participation:
 

Every participant will receive a Certificate of Participation via their registered e-mail address.
