SHARE WITH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT YOUR VIEWS ON CCTV IN ECEC SETTINGS https://nsw.childcarealliance.org.a... As part of the Federal Government's commitment to improve the safety, health and wellbeing of children in early childhood education and care (ECEC), the government has agreed to undertake a national CCTV Assessment in up to 300 services across Australia (the Assessment) NOTE: The Federal Government has allocated $15m for the services who participate. The NSW Government also has a parallel CCTV trial with 30 NSW-based services. At this stage, no details are available. KPMG has been appointed by the Federal Department of Education to conduct an evaluation of the Assessment. As part of this evaluation, services, providers, educators, parents and carers are invited to share their views through a short survey. Your feedback will help capture a range of different perspectives and ensure that all voices are heard and considered in shaping the future of safety and quality in ECEC settings. The surveys to both audiences are open now. Participation is voluntary and responses are anonymous. @followers #ozearlyed

YET ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL WHEELS ON THE BUS TOUR! https://nsw.childcarealliance.org.a... What could possibly occur when you have a bus load of early childhood educators, teachers and Approved Providers visit three exemplary and inspirational long daycare services? Many moments of "ah-ha!" & "is that how you do it!" & "I didn't think you can do that" & "what a brilliant idea!" and so much more! FEDERAL BUDGET 2026: ECEC RELATED https://nsw.childcarealliance.org.a... On 12 May 2026, the Hon Dr Jim Chalmers MP delivered his fifth budget as the Federal Treasurer. ACA National and ACA NSW are publicly concerned about the lack of certainty regarding wage funding for the early learning workforce in the Federal Government’s 2026–27 Budget. The absence of any funding commitment raises serious concerns about workforce stability across the sector. No later than by (ideally 1) June 2026, certainty beyond the immediate funding period will be critical to giving providers the confidence they need to plan, invest in their workforce and continue delivering for their communities. Visit https://nsw.childcarealliance.org.a... to review the full list of references and extracts of the Federal Budget that relate to the early childhood education and care sector, in particular for children and services. For any further information/clarification, please contact the ACA NSW team via 1300 556 330 or nsw@childcarealliance.org.au. @followers

"MOTHERS' DAY" BY CAROL MATTHEWS A Mother loves right from the start. She holds her baby close to her heart. The bond that grows will never falter. Her love is so strong it will never alter. A Mother gives never ending Love. She never feels that she has given enough. For you she will always do her best. Constantly working, there's no time to rest. A Mother is there when things go wrong. A hug and a kiss to help us along. Always there when we need her near. Gently wipes our eyes when we shed a tear. So on this day shower your Mother with Love. Gifts and presents are nice but that is not enough. Give your Mother a day to have some peace of mind. Be gentle, be good, be helpful, be kind. Happy Mothers Day. @followers
