In 2016, for the first time, we are offering combined workshops and bus tours, allowing owners, directors and educators to benefit from a formal professional development workshop, as well as a networking opportunity whilst visiting fellow providers' services to gain inspiration and ideas that can readily be applied in your service.
Each ACA NSW bus tour provide an opportunity for owners, directors, nominated supervisors and educators to visit two early childhood education and care services, experiencing and/or hearing first-hand about their physical environment; programming; technologies and so on. These tours are traditionally held in the greater Sydney area, however, expressions of interest are being taken for tours in regional areas.
Each combined workshop/tour is held on a Saturday and hosted by an experienced early childhood educator who will lead critical reflection discussions between stops. Refreshments and a light lunch are provided. If you are interested in opening your doors on a Saturday for an hour or so for one of our bus tours, please let us know as soon as possible.
As places are limited and our bus tours book out within days of releasing booking forms, please ensure you book early to avoid disappointment.
Our first combined workshop/bus tour of the year was held on Saturday 20 February 2016, with a very engaging workshop with early childhood consultant Katarzyna Wieczorek-Ghisso on The Art of Reflective Practice. You can see photos from our workshop and tour on our Facebook page.
The next Workshop/Bus tour will be held on Saturday 21 May 2016 in the Gymea /Sutherland Shire area, with the workshop to be delivered by early childhood consultant Adrian Pattra from Farran St Education. CLICK HERE for further information and booking details.
Further combined workshops/bus tours may be held in the second half of 2016 pending demand/interest. We will update this page once confirmed.
