International Left Handers Day

What is International Left Handers Day?

This day celebrates the uniqueness and differences of left-handed individuals. As we celebrate being left-handed, we also raise awareness for the everyday challenges of being left-handed in a world with predominately right-handers.

When is International Left Handers Day?

Tuesday, August 13

Activities:

  • Left-Handed Art Station: Set up an art station specifically for left-handed children, equipped with left-handed scissors, pencils, and other art supplies.
  • Left-Handed Games: Organise games and activities that highlight the challenges and advantages of being left-handed. For example, you can play games like left-handed tag.
  • Left-Handed Writing Practice: Provide opportunities for left-handed children to practice writing and drawing with their dominant hand.
  • Left-Handed High Five Challenge: Challenge children to give high fives with their left hand instead of their right hand.
