We hope you had an amazing Early Childhood Educators' Day!

This year’s celebration of Early Childhood Educators’ Day on Wednesday 7th September was more widely celebrated than ever before, with each centre or service ran their activities and festivities in their own special way.

During the week of Early Childhood Educator Day, early learning services were encouraged to support the event by organising their own activities, which may have included creating a ‘thank you wall’ or ‘thank you tree’, a giant “thank you” card, a morning tea with families or possibly asking the children and the educators to dress up as superheroes or whatever took their fancy.

Many thanks to those of you who shared photos of your celebrations on social media and the event website.  We loved seeing all the photographs of celebrations on social media and also uploaded to the photo gallery, with so many happy, smiling faces.

You may like to visit the photo gallery on the event website here

We hope each and every one of Australia’s early childhood educators felt acknowledged and appreciated by their employers, their children and their families, along with the broader recognition from the whole community.

The popularity of the event was reflected on our digital platforms with over 87,000 visits to the Early Childhood Educators' Day website between July and September and over 2,000 service providers pinning themselves to the map of participating services on the event website –more than double the 800 pins from last year!

On a broader level, sector stakeholders and government departments  acknowledged the day and recognised the essential role early childhood educators have in giving Australia's young children the best start in life.

We’re extremely grateful to our 2022 Principal Sponsors - Child Care Super, Lifeworks and Cargo Crew - for their generous support, which allowed us to produce the event website, videos, and the gorgeous apparel. If you would like to provider your feedback on this year's resources and/or any suggestions for next year's theme, you can still do so via our quick survey here
