International Coffee Day

What is International Coffee Day?

International Coffee Day recognises and appreciates the joy coffee brings. Coffee lovers celebrate in different ways such as enjoying their favourite coffees, exploring different coffees etc. This day also raises awareness about sustainable coffee production and fair-trade practices.


When is International Coffee Day?

Activities: 

  • Coffee Discussion: discuss where coffee comes from, how its grown and harvested
  • Coffee Sensory Tray: Fill a tray with coffee beans and hide objects within them. Encourage the children to explore the beans with their hands to encourage sensory play
  • Coffee Grounds Playdough: Make playdough using coffee grounds instead of flour. Encourage the children to mix the ingredients and experiment with the texture and smell
  • Coffee Cup Decorating: using stickers, markers, and crayons, encourage the children to decorate their own coffee cups
