365 Days to the NSW Election

With exactly 365 days to the NSW state election, ACA NSW fortuitously had the opportunity to begin probing the political parties that would form the next government.

Courtesy of BusinessNSW's BusinessWesternSydney, the NSW Leader of the Opposition (Kellie Sloane MP) gave an address about her thoughts on her future government if elected.

ACA NSW's CEO, Chiang Lim, posed the first question to Ms Sloane:

"The NSW Productivity Commissioner in 2022 exposed NSW’s early childhood education and care services to be subject to (stricter) legislative and regulatory requirements higher than the National Quality Standards, which added costs by an additional $3,000 per child per year more than all other Australian states. But (with then over 94% meeting those requirements or higher), why haven’t they produced systemically superior results? What would a different government do if elected? How would it produce better results especially for children? And will there be less ineffective “red-tape” for service providers?"

With the political parties' election campaigns effectively underway, ACA NSW will share with members what each party proposes to improve early childhood education and care for children and our sector.
