COVID isolation to be reduced to 5 days beginning 9 September 2022

Subject to the publication of updated NSW Public Health Order(s), it is worth noting that the National Cabinet has decided to reduce the isolation period for COVID-19 positive cases and close contacts with symptoms from 7 days to 5 days – providing they are free of symptoms by the time they leave isolation.

These changes will come into effect from Friday, 9 September 2022

For people who still have symptoms after five days, they must continue to isolate.

ACA NSW will share the technical information once the NSW Government has released them.

In the meantime, for any further information/clarification, members can contact the ACA NSW team via 1300 556 330 or nsw@childcarealliance.org.au.
