As you will have probably already read in the media today, Prime Minister Albanese's Cabinet, Outer Ministry and Assistant Ministers have been announced, with the ministry officially sworn in yesterday.

ACA has built a strong working relationship with Minister Rishworth, so we have sent her our congratulations on her new role and thanked her for supporting our sector in her Shadow Minister role over the last six years. We believe her work as Shadow Minister has helped create strong recognition of the important role that early childhood education plays in preparing children for success and the need for affordable, high-quality services Australia-wide.

Meanwhile our engagement with Minister Aly will start immediately, to create the foundation for an ongoing, positive working relationship.

We look forward to working closely with Minister Aly and her Federal Department of Education, Skills and Employment to ensure a strong and sustainable early learning sector in the interests of giving all Australian children the best start in life
