NSW Deputy Premier to take undetermined period of leave

Everyone would have been touched by cancer. So it was with great sadness to learn of NSW Deputy Premier Car's announcement today.

On behalf of the ACA NSW Executive Committee, members and staff, ACA NSW has extended our heartfelt wishes and has offered support to her, her husband Brad, her children and her staff.

As NSW Deputy Premier Car begins her leave and immediate treatment for her breast cancer, ACA NSW will continue to assist her wherever possible, and appropriately check-in with her when the opportunities permit.

And with the significant advances in medical science, ACA NSW eagerly awaits the NSW Deputy Premier's return.

In the meantime, the acting NSW Minister for Education & Early Learning will be the Hon Courtney Houssos MLC whom ACA NSW is familiar and has worked with in the past. We look forward to engaging with her again.
