NSW President announces scholarships and assistance to get affordable housing and electric vehicles

In addition to the State of our Sector awards winners on 22 June 2024, ACA NSW President Lyn Connolly took the opportunity to make the following announcements for the 2024/2025 financial year:

  1. the introduction of new scholarships beginning with Indigenous Australian early childhood educators based in NSW (who may be ineligible elsewhere for subsidised training for the CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education Care qualification);
  2. assistance to get affordable housing for educators and teachers based in NSW; and
  3. assistance to get affordable electric vehicles for educators and teachers based in NSW.

Full details will be announced by ACA NSW in due course.

ACA NSW President Connolly's announcements were made in acknowledgement of the ever-rising cost of living pressures especially on early childhood educators and teachers notwithstanding the work currently underway addressing pay.

These reflect Mrs Connolly and ACA NSW's continuing pursuit of and advocacies for constructive and tangibly positive solutions for the early childhood education and care sector that benefits children and parents as well as educators and teachers.
