Applications for the 2018 Incentive Scholarships are now open for educators currently enrolled in early childhood teaching degrees, and will close on Friday, 13 October 2017.

The NSW Department of Education is providing 30 scholarships of up to $9,000 each for early childhood educators working in rural or remote NSW, supporting them to complete their early childhood teaching degree.

To be eligible to apply, applicants must be:

  • diploma-qualified early childhood educators currently enrolled in a four-year bachelor degree in early childhood teaching
  • currently working in long day care services, centre-based or mobile preschools in rural or remote locations in NSW
  • Australian citizens or permanent residents
