Support for services impacted by the floods

Our hearts go out to everyone who has been directly affected by these emergencies and we hope that all of our members and their families are safe and able to access adequate support.

Our heartfelt thoughts are with those of you who have been impacted directly by the  floods. By now you would have accessed the $10,000 business continuity payment, which aims to provide immediate relief. According to Minister Stuart Robert over 130 early learning services applied for this payment. Please be aware that the Community Child Care Fund (CCCF) Special Circumstances Grant is also available for longer term support, to help with the cost of repairing flood damage, temporary service relocation or staff salaries during periods of service closure and local emergency.

Please be sure to contact your ACA state body should you need any support navigating through the assistance available.

When the time is right, if you are comfortable with sharing your personal account of the impact of the floods on your service and local community, we would be happy to feature your story in ACA's Belonging Early Years Journal. If you are comfortable doing, please do get in touch via email - admin@childcarealliance.org.au..
