WEBINAR: Preparing for and being successful in Assessments & Ratings (2)

WEBINAR: Preparing for and being successful in Assessments & Ratings (2)

What is the Problem:

• Assessments and Ratings by Accreditation and Compliance Field Officers can be stressful at the best of times.
• The regulatory standards and quality areas which are used to assess the childcare service provider can often be subjective.
• Are you ready for planned assessments and surprise check?
• What do you do if you disagree with the outcome of your Assessment and Ratings?
• Can you “jump the queue” to get your Assessment and Ratings conducted sooner?

What will be discussed at the webinar:

• Based on the NSW Department of Education’s statistics of October 2016, 27.5% of service providers have “Working Towards” ratings, and 18.8% have not yet been rated.
• Mindful of costs, what are the impediments that service providers face and are there tools and solutions available?
• What are the recently announced changes to the National Quality Framework proposing a reduction of standards from 18 to 15, and quality areas from 58 to 40? What does that mean?
• How is the Australian Childcare Alliance NSW agitating for changes through the NSW Department of Education, NSW Government and NSW Parliament.

Who will be presenting:

Lyn Connolly, President of the Australian Childcare Alliance NSW
Chiang Lim, CEO of the Australian Childcare Alliance NSW
