International Mother Language Day

What is International Mother Language Day?

International Mother Language Day occurs on the 21st February, raising awareness of language, cultural divertist and multingualism worldwide. This day promotes awareness of multilingual education based on mother tongue or first language. There are many people around the world who do not have access to an education in a language they speak or understand. International Mother Language Day recognises that languages and multilingualism can advance inclusion and destroying social injustice.
