What is National Children's Week?

National Children’s Week is an annual celebration recognising the rights, wellbeing, and happiness of children, as well as the talents, skills, and achievements they hold. Throughout this week, events, activities, and initiatives are implemented to promote children’s rights and their development.


When is National Children's Week?

Activities: 

  • Art display: organise an art show for the children to show the artworks that they have created in the service. Invite parents and carers to attend to celebrate the children’s talents
  • Cultural day: organise a day for the children to learn about different cultures and traditions from around the world which include craft, music, dances, and stories
  • Talent show: host a talent show where the children can showcase their talents and abilities to celebrate their unique talents, while encouraging the children to support their talented peers
  • Community service project: plan a project to teach the children about the importance of giving back to the community by making cards, donating money, or cleaning up our environment.
