National Grandparents Day celebrates grandparents and older people’s role in our lives and society.

When is National Grandparents Day?

Sunday, October 27

Activities: 

• Grandparents craft: using crayons and markers, encourage the children to create an artwork of them and their grandparents
• Grandparents frame: encourage the children to bring in an image of them and their grandparents. Provide the children with a white frame and encourage the children to decorate the frame that the image will be placed in
• Cooking experience: invite grandparents into the service and host a cooking/baking session where they work together
• Outdoor picnic: using the cooking experience above, organise an outdoor picnic where the children can enjoy the meal with their grandparent/s
  
• Grandparents photo booth: place some props where the children and their grandparents can enjoy a photo booth together
