What is National Pyjama Day?

National Pyjama Day is an annual event in Australia which raises funds and awareness for children in foster cate. People wear pyjamas to school or work and donate to support the work of The Pyjama Foundation, which provides educational support and mentoring to children in foster care.

Activities:

• Movie Night: Host a movie night where the children come dressed in their pyjamas and enjoy watching a movie together.
• Story Time: Set up a comfortable reading corner with blankets, pillows, and stuffed animals. Invite children to gather in their pyjamas for a special story time session featuring bedtime stories or books.
• Art and Craft: Provide art, craft material, and encourage the children to draw, paint or decorate pillowcases or design pyjamas using cut outs.
• Group Time: Encourage the children to bring in their favourite bedtime story and share it with their peers.
• Pyjama Fashion Show: organise a pyjama fashion show where children can take turns walking down a runway and show off their favourite pyjamas.
