The No Jab, No Pay legislation has now been passed by both Houses of Parliament. From 1 January 2016, parents will need to ensure their child's immunisations are up to date or on a catch-up schedule to continue receiving child care payments. Exemptions will still apply for children who have a natural immunity or allergies to specific medicines, if diagnosed by a general practitioner. Please click here for a fact sheet on the changes, including links to further details on No Jab, No Pay. You can also access the media release about the changes by clicking here.
