By now you should have received an e-mail from the Federal Department of Education and Training, reminding service providers that today is the deadline for all providers, or their legal representatives, to submit the online Transition Form for the new Child Care Subsidy System.

31 deadline

If you haven't yet done this, now is the time to log onto the new Child Care Subsidy System (CCSS) immediately to complete and submit your online Transition Form.

Before you can do this, at least one person with Management or Control from your service has to be registered with PRODA - you can do this here.

Once registered with PRODA, you can get started completing the Transition Form. DET has created a step-by-step guide to help you through this process - you can view this here.

You will not be able to submit data and receive CCS payments from 2 July 2018 if you do not complete these steps.

"Currently, 30% of providers haven't yet completed the new Child Care Subsidy online Transition Form"

Before you begin, make sure you have your:

  • PRODA Username and Password and access to your mobile phone or email to receive your PRODA access code
  • CCB Provider and Service identification numbers – these can be found in the accompanying letter
  • National Quality Agenda IT System (NQA ITS) details and access to your mobile phone or email to receive your NQA ITS access code (if applicable).

If you are experiencing difficulty with PRODA registration, please contact the PRODA Helpdesk on 1800 700 199 and select option 1 or email proda@humanservices.gov.au.

If you are experiencing difficulty with the online Transition Form or need information about the steps in your transition, please contact the CCMS Helpdesk on 1300 667 276 or e-mail ccmshelpdesk@education.gov.au.

If you are experiencing difficulty in activating a child care software product or updating any of your details in your software, you may need to seek assistance from your child care software provider.

Just a final reminder - ACA has produced a handy checklist for service providers to help them through the entire transition to the new Child Care Subsidy, including considering your IT infrastructure, possibly establishing new session types and fee structures and setting up your Complying Written Agreements (CWAs).

We recommend you use this to tick off every stage of the process.
