Some childcare service providers may be affected by an issue that relates to third party software providers - a handful of software providers are not yet able to lodge session reports to the Child Care Subsidy System (CCSS) or view entitlements for you to estimate fees.

If your service happens to use one of these software providers, it is important that you know how to work around this while you await updates to your software. We encourage service providers to maintain regular contact with your software supplier to keep abreast of the latest developments.

In the meantime, here are your 'work around' options:

  1. You can wait until next week pending software providers updates - technically you have until Sunday, 22 July 2018 to lodge your session reports for this week.
  2. Alternatively (and particularly if cashflow requires for the CCS payment to be made to you as soon as possible), you can lodge your session reports tomorrow manually via the Provider Entry Point (PEP).

Please bear in mind that if you lodge your session reports on Monday, you are likely to receive your payments on the Tuesday as we are told the new system has a fast turnaround time. This applies regardless of whether your session reports are lodged manually via the PEP or via your third party software.

As always we're keen to hear about any issues you may be experiencing so that we can feed these back to the Department of Education and Training with a view to getting these resolved as soon as possible.

To this end, please feel free to contact the Australian Childcare Alliance NSW on 1300 556 330 or nsw@childcarealliance.org.au if you are experiencing any difficulties with your software provider or the new CCS more generally.

In the meantime we will provide updates on this matter as they arise.
