The Australian Childcare Alliance (ACA) NSW has a new mascot!

Cooee ACA NSW mascot

(Cooee in the Marble Foyer of the Parliament House in Canberra.)

Introducing Cooee the Koala! Cooee is a young father with a young son named Joey (he's only 3 years old in human terms). And because of the ever rising cost of living in Australia, Cooee's wife Chiara is also working to support their very young family and hopes to be able to have more children in the near future, especially to fulfil Peter Costello's mantra of "one for the father, one for the mother, and one for the country."

As a young father, Cooee knows it is getting really hard to make ends meet. So he has gladly agreed in his spare time to help ACA NSW with its advocacy with federal and state parliamentarians as well as local mayors, deputy mayors and councillors, to bring about positive change, balancing the need to receive quality early childhood education and care for Joey and balancing it against financial affordability.

Due to the activity tests of the Commonwealth's Child Care Subsidy, you will not see Chiara much. But thankfully, Cooee has got a flexible enough workplace that he can assist ACA NSW in its endeavours.
