At our recent Network Meeting at Coffs Harbour on 15 April 2019, approved providers were quite disappointed that the NSW Department of Education excluded Coffs Harbour for the upcoming round of their Roadshows, especially when they include Consultation Sessions for the Review of the National Quality Framework.

The Coffs Habour region has 57 services supporting up to 2,654 children and their families, employing up to 114 teachers and up to 570 educators, cooks, trainees and support staff.

As a regional Member of Parliament, NSW Minister for Education and Early Childhood Learning (the Hon Sarah Mitchell MLC) would appreciate more than most that without at least two sessions conducted in Coffs Harbour, this would compel all 57 services to travel to either Port Macquarie or Lismore in order to engage and participate in these important sessions.

An on-line petition was organised where already 40 out of the 57 services have requested your assistance to have the NSW Department of Education conduct a session in Coffs Harbour.

The Australian Childcare Alliance (ACA) NSW look forward to the Minister's response to the ACA NSW's request for sessions in Coffs Harbour.

And ACA NSW has also written to the new NSW Member for Coffs Harbour (Mr Gurmesh Singh MP) for any assistance he may also be able to render.
