On the weekend of 8-9 February 2020, coincidentally during one of Sydney's heaviest downpours, all telephone lines for the Australian Childcare Alliance (ACA) NSW have since been cut or damaged.

In fact, the entire neighbourhood of the ACA NSW office do not have any telephony services.

Telstra has advised that the earliest they predict the restoration of service will occur by 3 March 2020.

ACA NSW staff are putting in place a temporary service beginning 17 February 2020 that can somewhat restore services to ACA NSW members. And given the impending approach of the National Broadband Network (NBN) and decommissioning of the copper telephone wires, ACA NSW will bring forward its cloud-based solution that ensures services to members will remain equal if not better.

In the meantime, ACA NSW can still be contacted via nsw@childcarealliance.org.au. ACA NSW staff have been using their mobiles instead wherever possible.

We sincerely regret the inconvenience this has caused to members.
