What is USA Independence Day?

Known as both Independence Day and the Fourth of July, this day is a holiday in the US commemorating the declaration of independence of the US from British rule.

Activities:

• Flag Craft: Provide materials such as construction paper, crayons, and stickers for children to create their own American flags.
• Group time:  Have a class discussion about the history of Independence Day and the founding of the United State.
• Story Time: Read a story to the children that related to Independence Day.
• American Symbols Exploration: Create a learning station where children can explore and learn about iconic American symbols such as the bald eagle, Liberty Bell, and Statue of Liberty.
