OUR PRE-ELECTION ADVOCACY CAMPAIGN

With the 2022 federal election fast approaching on Saturday 21st May, the election outcome remains unknown until the final votes have all been counted. It is therefore important to engage with all sides of politics, as any one of them could influence outcomes for our sector in the future years.

More than any other time of the election cycle, political candidates are in listening mode - they are very much open to hearing and responding to what is needed to benefit the economy and the community.

Last week we launched our ACA Election Manifesto and our refreshed Best Start In Life website for political candidates and the media. ACA is working hard at the national level, to engage with political candidates from all sides of the political spectrum.

However in addition to our own political engagement, we are also calling on you as a member, to support our sector and the families that rely on our services, by contacting your local MP's and political candidates at the local level in the lead up to the election.

Your direct engagement with local political stakeholders can shape their understanding of the importance of a viable early learning sector and the issues facing our services in your area.

Please refer to the article directly below to find out how easy it is to get involved and engage with your local federal election candidates.

We thank you in advance for your support in helping ACA ensure that all political parties support our sector in the lead up to the 2022 federal election.

OUR PRE-ELECTION ADVOCACY CAMPAIGN:
Please join us in supporting our sector!

How do we engage with political stakeholders?
Generally, we invite politicians and political candidates to visit and tour one of the early learning services in their own electorate.
And during their tour, the Approved Provider (with the support of an ACA NSW representative, should you request it) can assist them with their understanding of the value and challenges of early childhood education and care.

As a service provider, how can you help?
Your direct engagement with local political stakeholders can influence their understanding of the importance of a viable early learning sector and the issues facing our services in your area.

Based on ACA’s Get involved webpage, we encourage you to:

1. Identify
