Update on NSW IPART Review on fee affordability, accessibility and choice

Ever since the then NSW Coalition Government's State Budget announcements in June 2022, ACA NSW has been engaging with the NSW Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) in their review of NSW's early childhood education and care sector.

While IPART will not "develop, investigate or recommend price regulation or price setting mechanisms", its terms of reference hopefully will help the new NSW Labor Government identify and overcome many legacy issues that NSW-based ECEC services face.

ACA NSW has registered to be at one of IPART's Public Hearings on Monday, 15 May 2023 at 12.30 pm to 2.30 pm.

Members can review IPART's Issues Paper and make a submission no later than 22 May 2023. IPART has been tasked to provide an interim report by August 2023, and a fiunal report by December 2023.
