World Children's Day

What is World Children's Day?

World Children’s Day was first established as Universal Children’s Day, celebrated annually to promote togetherness, awareness among children, and improving children’s welfare. This is when the UN adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child in 1959, and later the date where the UN adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1989.

When is World Children's Day?

  • Role-Play Activities: Set up role-play stations where children can pretend to be doctors, teachers, firefighters, or other professionals who help and support others.
