On this day, people come together to celebrate the practice of yoga, and the importance of exercising and relaxing our bodies and minds. People participate in yoga poses, meditate, and learn about the benefits of Yoga. People connect with themselves and promote peace and well-being.

  • Outdoor Yoga Session: Take the children outdoors for a yoga session in nature. Find a peaceful spot in playground where children can practice yoga poses.

  • Mindfulness meditation: Encourage the children to sit or lie down comfortably, play soft music or nature sounds and encourage the children to close their eyes. Guide the children through breathing exercises.
  • Yoga Craft Activities: Provide materials for children to create yoga-themed crafts that promote relaxation and mindfulness. For example, children can make DIY stress balls using balloons and rice.
  • Story Time: Read a story book to the children that is yoga thee or incorporates yoga poses.
