NSW Department of Education invites proposals to streamline waiver applications to address labour shortages

Following the lively discussion at ACA NSW's Inner Circles event (27 February 2023) with the NSW Department of Education, they have (again) offered to receive proposals to streamline waiver applications to address (worsening) labour shortages across the early childhood education and care sector.

Members are encouraged to submit their suggestions/proposals on how to reduce services' operational burdens when producing waiver applications without compromising risks to children nor reductions in quality outcomes for children.

ACA NSW is also seeking nominations from members to be part of a small group of representatives who will engage with the NSW Department of Education based on a set of proposals (based on members' input) that have been agreed to by the ACA NSW Executive Committee.

Please note that the portal (see below) to receive suggestions/proposals and nominations will close at 11.59 pm on Friday, 17 March 2023.
