World Creativity and Innovation Day, observed on April 21st, is a global initiative that promotes the use of creativity and innovation to solve problems and make positive changes in the world. It encourages individuals and organizations to think creatively and come up with new ideas to address various challenges we face in our societies, economies, and environments.

Activities:

  • Group Time: Discuss what the words 'Creativity' and 'Innovation' mean 
  • Arts and Craft: Encourage the children to explore different means of art such as painting, drawing, crafting using different supplies and materials
  • Prepare a space where the children can use tools, recycled materials and objects to repurpose and invent 
  • Prepare problem solving activities to encourage the children to creatively think e.g. building legos, finding solutions to problems, puzzles, group challenges 
  • STEM activities such as building, conducting science experiments will encourage innovation
