Hanukkah

What is Hanukkah?

Hanukkah is also known as the Festival of Lights, which is a Jewish holiday commemorating the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem. It is celebrated for eight days and nights and is marked by lighting the menorah which is a special candelabrum with nine branches while reciting prayers. It also involves eating traditional foods, playing games, and exchanging gifts while reflecting on the holiday that symbolises hope, miracles, and light over darkness.
