What is New Years Day?

New Years Day is a celebration on the first day of the year. Families and friends gather around and celebrate the beginning of the New Year with food, drinks and dancing. Some families spend New Years at the beach, and some spend it watching the fireworks display.

• Beach trip: Visit the beach on new years day
• DYI party hats: Children can create their own personalised party hats for their new years day celebration.
• Dance party: turn up the music and have a dance party, children can show off their moves and celebrate the new year.
