World Chocolate Day is an annual celebration appreciating the goodness and deliciousness of chocolate. Chocolate lovers worldwide enjoy chocolate in their favourite form, celebrating the history and cultural significance of this sweet.

Activities:

  • Group Time: Discuss the history of chocolate and how it was made. Children can share what their favourite chocolate is.
  • Chocolate Cooking Class: A chocolate cooking class where children can learn to make simple chocolate treats, such as chocolate-covered pretzels, chocolate-dipped fruits, chocolate cupcakes or cookies.
  • Chocolate Science Experiments: Conduct simple science experiments to learn about the properties of chocolate. For example, demonstrate how chocolate melts at different temperatures by melting chocolate bars using warm water.
  • Story Time: Read a chocolate related story to the children such as "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" by Roald Dahl.
  • Chocolate tasting: Set up a tasting station where children can taste a variety of chocolate such as milk, dark and white chocolate.
