Effective Lease Disputes with Commercial Landlords 2023

With the growing trend of early childhood education and care services leasing (ie not owning) their spaces from commercial landlords, there has also been an increase in disputes about their leases.

Therefore, achieving that financial balance of the service’s financial viability and the commercial landlord’s own obligations is vital for the successes of both.

The 2023 ACA NSW Quickies – Effective Lease Disputes with Commercial Landlords will cover the following topics, information, advice, tips and even “tricks”:

  • Assessing the nature of the landlord dispute and setting your commercial goals from the outset.
  • Complying with dispute resolution provisions contained in commercial leases.
  • Negotiating with your commercial landlord to resolve disputes prior to commencement of litigation proceedings including whether it is appropriate to use Small Business Commissioner to mediate litigation.
  • Commencing proceedings and the litigation process.

This ACA NSW Quickies session is designed for the service’s owners, Approved Providers, Nominated Supervisors and any other relevant senior staff members.

Alignment with National Quality Standards:

  • 7.1 – Governance
  • 7.2 – Leadership

The 2023 sessions are as follows:
