3x Workshops: Help with responding to the Review of the NQF

The 2019 Review of the National Quality Framework (NQF) has generated a Consultation Regulatory Impact Statement (CRIS) that discusses 21 issues across:

  • safety, health, and well-being;
  • family daycare;
  • outside school hours care;
  • workforce;
  • understanding of quality ratings by families;
  • changes in fees within the NQF system;
  • oversight and governance of services and providers; and
  • proposed changes to the NQF arising from the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.

Early childhood education and care (ECEC) services have been asked to respond to ACECQA by 30 April 2021 via survey or written submission.

It is vitally important that services respond so that the regulatory framework and therefore operational requirements can improve.

Equally, ACECQA and the Regulatory Authorities must hear from ECEC services that unnecessary additional regulatory and operational burdens must be avoided wherever possible. Instead, such existing and proposed new burdens could and can be addressed in alternative ways that can achieve the same aspirations or outcomes.

What to expect at the ACA NSW Workshops:
