Protecting Employers from Legal And Industrial Issues 2023

The ACA NSW Quickies are only 2 hours or less and held throughout the year in face-to-face, live webinar and video-on-demand formats. They are for Approved Providers, Owners, Directors and Nominated Supervisors with industry-specific information, advice, tips and even “tricks”.

The topics to be covered in the 2023 NSW Quickies – Protecting Employers from Legal and Industrial Issues are:

  • What are the Top 10 mistakes that land Approved Providers before the Fair Work Ombudsman? And how to avoid them?
  • How to keep good staff and avoid keeping on poor-performing staff?
  • Do casuals now have equal leave entitlements as full/part-time employees?
  • Are there right versus wrong ways when dealing with employees using illicit drugs?
  • What are employers’ rights and obligations if/when their employee(s) have mental health concerns and/our publish questionable text/images/videos on social media?
  • What are the emerging industrial risks to employers in the next 12-36 months?
  • What cover could your insurance policy provide and not provide?

Managing employees in Australia is not easy, especially when we have one of the world’s most complicated industrial systems to understand, navigate and be continually in compliance with.

If you are an existing Approved Provider, or about to open a new service, or have just purchased a service, or planning to run a service, or are responsible for managing a team of staff, then this ACA NSW Quickies session can be of assistance to you.
